Bachfest 2024 in Leipzig - The opening weekend 7. - 10. June 2024
Every year in June, the city of Leipzig honours its important Thomaskantor Johann Sebastian Bach with the Bach Festival. It follows a tradition of Bach cultivation that was already established by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. In 2024, the Bach Festival will have the special motto "CHORalTOTAL": Bach choirs from all over the world will perform Bach's choral cantatas from 7 to 16 June 2024. The "Choral Cantatas 1" in St. Nicholas Church is the starting signal for the music highlight in Leipzig 2024.
