The municipal museums of Zittau have a large collection treasure with a far-reaching tradition. Over the centuries, the holdings have been constantly expanded.
The most precious items in the collection are the two Zittau lenten cloths, the large one from 1472 and the small one from 1573, both unique masterpieces of textile art of European rank.
