Special exhibition "Aristocratic life in the Baltic States"

From June 26 to September 21, 2025, the exhibition "Noble Life in the Baltic States" uses contemporary documents to tell the story of the life of the Baltic nobility in their castles and manor houses with their estates and economic units in the former Livonia and Courland. The German nobles who came to the country with the Knights of the Order belonged to the upper class until the end of the 19th century, whose prominent position ended after the First World War with the emergence of the nation states of Estonia and Latvia. Some of the extensive architectural heritage has since undergone outstanding reconstruction, but many manor houses are still waiting to be renovated and put to good use.
