Every year on the 3rd weekend in Advent, the Christmas market takes place in the heart of Hoyerswerda's old town.
In memory of the work of Imperial Princess Ursula Katharina von Teschen in Hoyerswerda in the 18th century, the Christmas market in Hoyerswerda is called Teschenmarkt and is organized by the Lausitzhalle. From Friday, December 12 to Sunday, December 14, 2025, a festive atmosphere will fill the market square in the old town. The civic center and the castle will also be decorated for Christmas.
There will be a varied Christmas program for young and old on the market square. Numerous sales huts offer Christmas delicacies such as baked apples, mulled wine, roasted almonds and of course all kinds of hearty treats for the festive season. Come along and let yourself be tempted!
