The special exhibition is dedicated to one of the oldest cultural techniques of mankind.
An interactive educational program invites visitors to learn more about the complex techniques and cultural significance of this often underestimated art form. The show thus builds a bridge between tradition and modernity - and makes it clear how relevant textile art still is today. It will be on display from December 11, 2025 to April 12, 2026.
The MdbK's permanent exhibition includes over 4,600 paintings, 1,800 sculptures, medals and plaques, over 5,000 photographs and over 70,000 works on paper from seven centuries.
