From May 15 to 17, 2026, the Karl May Festival in Radebeul will bring 19th century America to life for the 33rd time. For three days, Radebeul's Lößnitzgrund will be transformed into an adventurous Wild West landscape just like in Karl May's stories. This year, the motto of the festival is "Festival in the saddle".
In the rustic natural idyll of the Lößnitzgrund, as well as in the Sternreitercamp on the heights of Wahnsdorf and of course in Karl May's place of work, today's Karl May Museum, an amazing parallel universe is created. For three days, you can immerse yourself in the world of Karl May's books.
The myth of Winnetou and the Wild West is brought to life here for all cowboy and Indian fans, young and old. Authentically designed settlements and western towns provide a stylish backdrop for exciting adventures, impressive theater performances and hearty country bands.
