27th Chursächsischer Sommer 2024 - The cultural festival in the European spa region.
Since 1996, the Chursächsische Sommer festival of the European spa region has traditionally opened every year on 1 May in the Saxon state spa town of Bad Elster. Until 6 October, around 300 outstanding cultural events of various genres take place in the cultural and festival town of Bad Elster, neighbouring Bad Brambach and around 40 selected venues in the four-country region of Bavaria | Bohemia | Saxony | Thuringia in the heart of Europe.
The shining "summer residence" of the successful cultural festival is the cultural and festival town of Bad Elster, which truly "royally" delights with renowned artists and ensembles as well as a suitable supporting programme of concerts in the historic spa gardens, wellness offers and culinary delights. An important part of the Chursächsischer Sommer are also the numerous friendly partners & festival locations, which characterise the festival period with cultural tourism programmes. The Chursächsische Philharmonie - as the festival orchestra in residence - performs every year on its "summer tour" as a "musical ambassador" in numerous venues worth experiencing, such as castles, churches and concert halls.
