Trail 5 is the only one also suitable for skating and leads through the Schönecker forests in the Meiler area.
Skating is partially possible on this trail. It starts, like all trails, at the Schöneck roundabout. From there, it leads towards "Hotel Tannenhaus" and turns right before the Meiler ponds. A little further on, we turn left and then follow the rest of the route through the Schönecker forests back to the starting point.

Ski equipment can be rented at Sportpoint.
Follow the signs for parking garage, ski world, IFA Ferienpark in Schöneck. Shortly before the roundabout, you will already see the trail entrance on the left side.
Park comfortably in the parking garage, which is just a few steps from the trail entrance.
Take the Vogtlandbahn to the IFA Ferienpark stop. Here you will find a hiking and trail house with changing rooms, lockers, showers, and toilets. The trail entrance is about 200 m to the left of the stop.
You can use the bus from line 90 from Oelsnitz, Plauen, line 93 from Bad Elster, or line 22 from Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz to the IFA Ferienpark stop and start directly on the trail.
