Our family cross-country ski trail is ideal for small children. It is 1.4 km long and has no major climbs.
The trail goes once around the Meiler area. It is classified as a blue level and is easy to ski. The Meiler snack bar and the restaurant in Hotel Tannehaus are located directly on the trail.

The family trail is fully signposted. It starts at the roundabout, leads towards "Hotel Tannenhaus," and continues past the Meiler ponds and the snack bar "Meilerhütte." Here you have already completed half and can take a first break. The trail then leads left and back to the starting point at the roundabout.
Cross-country skiing equipment can be rented at SportPoint, which is only 50 m from the trail entrance.
Travel comfortably by train. Most children love train rides, so the trip starts off exciting. Lockers and changing rooms are available directly at the stop, and the ski rental is also right on site.
Affordable parking in the modern parking garage just about 150 m from the trail entrance.
Follow the signs for parking garage, Skiwelt, IFA Ferienpark in Schöneck. Just before the roundabout, you will already see the trail entrance on the left side. Park comfortably in the parking garage and the ski route can begin.

Take the Vogtlandbahn to the IFA Ferienpark stop. Here, there is a hiking and trail house with changing rooms, sprinters, showers, and toilets. The trail entrance is about 200 m to the left of the stop.
You can also use the bus line 90 from Oelsnitz, Plauen, line 93 from Bad Elster, or line 22 from Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz to get to the stop at IFA Ferienpark and immediately start on the trail.
