The stage leads from the former seat of power of the Vögte in Plauen to the Elsterberg castle ruins.
The Pfaffengut and the Liebau castle ruins serve as interesting intermediate stations. You can comfortably take the Vogtlandbahn back and enjoy the view through the Elster valley.

The hiking route leads from the Komturhof Plauen to the Elsterberg castle ruins. The Pfaffengut and the Liebau castle ruins serve as interesting intermediate stations.
At the Barthmühle, it is worth taking the path over the Elstertal Bridge to enjoy the view from the world's second largest brick bridge.
You can reach Plauen via the A 72, exit Plauen-Ost or Pirk. Follow the B 173 in each case to the city centre.
We recommend the public car parks at Neustadtplatz as well as the Stadt-Galerie or Klostermarkt parking garages.
You can reach Plauen with the Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn on the Dresden-Hof route or from Leipzig with the S-Bahn S 5 to Werdau or Zwickau and further with the Vogtlandbahn. From Elsterberg, you can comfortably take the Vogtlandbahn back to Plauen.
