Castle Hohnstein is located directly within the National Park Saxon Switzerland at a rock above the romantic Polenz Valley and the small town of Hohnstein. First mentioned in 1353, the castle has gone through a changeful history.
Ten event venues and a more than 1,000 sqm hughe castle garden with an open air stage offer you the best requirements for events. The museum shows the history of castle and town, the natural history exhibition depicts the live of bats and salmons. Also, make sure to go up the tower for a great view above the sand stone rocks.
