Exhibition "Power2Change: Mission Energy Transition"
Can we make socks from CO2 in the future? Or raw materials for medicines? Will lorries, ships or planes soon be fuelling with hydrogen or e-fuels? And how can green electricity be used and transported flexibly? The new special exhibition "Power2Change: Mission Energy Transition", which can be seen from 24 September to 1 December 2024 at the Chemnitz Industrial Museum, deals with these and other questions. The energy transition is the key to a climate-neutral future without oil and gas. Many scientists are working on new concepts and technologies for the energy transition.
The exhibition presents challenges, solutions and research projects. Researchers invite you to join them on "Mission Energy Transition". Various topics show how a secure, affordable and climate-neutral supply of energy and raw materials can work.
What does this have to do with our everyday lives? Germany aims to become climate-neutral by 2045 and switch its entire supply of energy and raw materials to renewable sources. For private households, for example, this means switching to electric cars and heat pumps. However, the challenges for industry are much greater.
Using examples from current industrial research, new approaches will be presented that can help to master the energy transition. The exhibition will be accompanied by an extensive supporting programme. This includes the "Power2Change:Energiemobil", which will be touring the region alongside the exhibition and inviting visitors to discover, meet and discuss the energy transition.
