EVAPORATION: End of season with traditional small steamboat parade.
The hearts of steamboat lovers will beat faster on 31 October when paddlewheel steamers of the WEIßEN FLOTTE SACHSEN, with music, lots of steam and whistles, sail towards the official end of the main season 2023 and ring in the autumn and winter timetable, or rather "blow the whistle".
As early as 10:00 a.m., participants will have the opportunity to cast off on board a steamer in Dresden and travel on a picturesque river journey, first upstream to Pillnitz. But that is only the beginning of the experience. At 11:00, 11:15 and 11:45, more paddle steamers will start their tours from the Terrassenufer, later joining together in an impressive formation between Blasewitz and Pillnitz.
The ships departing from Dresden line up in a formation around midday between Blasewitz and Pillnitz, so that all four participating steamers pass the three beautiful Elbe castles Albrechtsberg Castle, Lingnerschloss Castle and Eckberg Castle together and cross all the Elbe bridges - from the Blue Wonder to the Marienbrücke.
The steamers finally turn around at the height of Dresden-Pieschen, so that participants have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking canaletto view.
During the entire route, the steamers will be accompanied by live music, which will make the atmosphere even more intense to experience.
