By the Stollen Festival on 9 December 2023 at the latest, connoisseurs will be in seventh (stollen) heaven. The festive day in honour of the Dresden Christstollen is an absolute highlight in the pre-Christmas season. Tens of thousands of guests from all over the world gather for the grand parade and carry the magic of the stollen through the small streets of the historic Old Town. In the middle of it all: hundreds of proud Dresden stollen bakers as well as the patroness of the festival, the Dresden Stollen Girl and a giant stollen. In keeping with an old tradition and as a tribute to the Saxon bakery trade, the annual presentation of the giant stollen is once again part of the programme.
