80 potters and artisans will be selling their work, all of which they have made themselves, on Pier 1 directly on Lake Cospuden. On offer are everyday ceramics such as cups, plates and jugs. All objects are of course thrown on the potter's wheel and are for sale in a wide variety of colours, shapes and styles, so there is something for everyone. There will also be a wide range of individual objects for the home and garden, in various firing techniques such as free firing with wood or RAKU, an old Japanese firing technique.
On the other hand, the artisans will be offering a wide variety of techniques and products, such as textile hand printing, woodwork, basket weaving, textiles, silver jewellery, graphics, felting, glasswork and once again the last brush maker in Germany, Karl Dommel from Bechhofen.
There will also be craft demonstrations such as potter's wheel turning, wood turning and basket weaving.
The craft and pottery market is open on 25 and 26 May from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. Admission is free!
